The Asbeary Cottage | Pigeon Forge, TN

The Asbeary Cottage is a single-level, 1,400-square-foot retreat built for a group that wants real space to spread out, not a stack of bunks in a cramped condo. Every room earns its keep here.

★ LIVING ROOM ★
This is where the group ends up after dark. Sink into the leather recliners and sofa, flip on the electric fireplace, and let the 55" Samsung OLED Smart TV take over movie duty. High-speed Wi-Fi reaches every corner, and central air and heat handle whatever the Smokies throw at you. A sleeper sofa adds a spot for two more, and keyless entry means no porch fumbling with luggage and a lockbox.

★ THREE BEDROOMS, TWO BATHS ★

• Master Bedroom: king bed, Samsung Smart HD TV, USB charging built into the nightstands
• Bedroom 2: king bed, Samsung Smart HD TV, USB charging
• Bedroom 3: queen bed, Samsung Smart HD TV, USB charging
• 2 full bathrooms with spa-style walk-in showers, recently updated
Every bed here is a real bed: no cots, no air mattresses. With 3 bedrooms plus the sleeper sofa, a group of 8 gets an actual place to sleep.

★ KITCHEN & DINING ★
Stocked to actually cook in, not just microwave in: stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a full set of cookware, and a coffee bar with both a Keurig and a drip maker for the early risers. The dining table seats 6, and the kitchen island picks up the overflow for a full house of 8.

★ OUTDOOR LIVING: WHERE THE TRIP ACTUALLY HAPPENS ★
The deck is the heart of this cottage. A 6-seat dining set sits under a canopy cover, four Adirondack rocking chairs line the rail for anyone who just wants to watch the trees, and the 6-person hot tub is strung with lights for after-dark soaks. Around the corner, the propane fire pit and its Adirondack seating turn into the unofficial nightly meeting spot. Bring the marshmallows.

★ ENTERTAINMENT & WORK ★
Every bedroom has its own Smart TV, there's a dedicated desk workstation if someone needs to answer email before the day's adventures, and a shelf of board games covers the rainy-day contingency.

★ THE PRACTICAL STUFF ★
In-unit washer and dryer, a starter supply of toiletries and paper products, and a covered carport plus extra on-street space for the group's vehicles.

LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY
The cottage sits about 2 minutes off the Pigeon Forge Parkway, which puts almost everything within a short drive:

• Dollywood: roughly 15-20 minutes by car, or hop the trolley right from the neighborhood stop
• The Island in Pigeon Forge (shops, restaurants, the fountain show): a few minutes down the Parkway
• Titanic Museum Attraction: right on the Parkway, minutes away
• WonderWorks and the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud: both a short drive down the Parkway
• Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg: about 15 minutes
• Downtown Gatlinburg: about 15 minutes (7 miles) via the Spur
• Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Sugarlands entrance): about 20 minutes
• Tanger Outlets for an afternoon of shopping: a short drive up the Parkway
• Local breweries, eateries, and hiking trailheads, all just minutes away

Rather not drive at all? The trolley has a stop right in the neighborhood. Leave the car at the cottage and let it handle the Parkway traffic.

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
Multi-generational family reunions: 3 real bedrooms plus the sleeper sofa mean grandparents get a door to close and the kids aren't stuck on an air mattress.
Dollywood trip groups: the neighborhood trolley stop means skipping the park's entrance-lot lines entirely.
Girls' or guys' weekend crews of 6-8: the hot tub and fire pit are built for a group that wants to end the night together, not split into separate rooms.
Remote workers tacking on a few extra days: the dedicated workstation and fast Wi-Fi mean finishing a Friday call before the weekend starts.
Two couples traveling together: two king bedrooms plus a queen give everyone their own space without anyone taking the pull-out.
